There is a buzz in the air.  Our students have seen the advertisement for Tui T. Sutherland's new series Wings of Fire.  The cover art is eye catching.  The premise exciting.

Seven dragon tribes have been at war for generations fighting over lost treasure.  A prophecy describes the sacrifice of five young dragon resulting in peace for the land.  Thus a secret society collects, raises, and trains five dragonets for the purpose of ending the war.  But what happens when the young dragons decide they want a different fate and escape looking for their homes?

This is a fast paced, exciting tale full of plot twists.  If you enjoyed Warriors, the Guardians of Ga'hoole, and How To Train Your Dragon, you are sure to enjoy this new series!

Frankly, Frannie

We have a new series by AJ Stern in our library.

Meet Frannie B. Miller the star of Frankly, Frannie.  She is a spunky girl who loves offices and office supplies.  To quote her, "It is a scientific fact that I try to be grown-up as oftenly as possible."

Unfortunately for her (but fortunately for the reader), whenever she is curious and tries to help others, things go awry.  Talk about always getting into trouble!  Of course, this makes for very funny reading.

If you like Junie B. Jones and Clementine, we have good news for you.  Here is another strong character whose adventures you can join in on.  Happy Reading!
