Ecoland Adventure Day

What a great day to be outside and explore nature!

On Friday, we had the opportunity to soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the famous Jeju Gotjawal Forest.  The best explanation I found about the Gotjawal Forest is at  the following website...http://theme.ecolandjeju.co.kr/M/EN/story/gotjawal.php

Trees
by Joyce Kilmer  (1886-1918)
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by people like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Terry Fox

"How many people do something they really believe in? I
just wish people would realize that anything's possible if
you try. Dreams are made if people try." - Terry Fox

Don't Let the Pigeon Touch the Books!

In library this week, as a fun way to review our book care rules, Grade 4 watched "Don't Let the Pigeon Touch the Books"...

Then we created our own wanted posters for Pigeon.
He sure needs to learn how to take care of our library books!

Remember...
1. Have clean hands.
2. Keep food and drinks far away from the books.
3. Do not write, draw, cut or glue the pages.
4. Use a bookmark and a book bag.
5. Turn the pages carefully using the top corner.
6. Keep books safe from water, pets, and little brothers and sisters.
7. Return your books on time.

Thank You!
